Henry William Forster, 1st Baron Forster (31 January 1866 – 15 January 1936), was a British Conservative Party politician who became the seventh Governor-General of Australia.
==Background and education==
He was born at Southend Hall, Catford, then in Kent, England, the son of an Army officer. He was educated at Eton and Oxford. He was a first-class cricketer who played for Oxford University and Hampshire, as well as for various amateur teams as a lower-order right-handed batsman and an orthodox left-arm spin bowler.〔(【引用サイトリンク】Player Profile: Henry Forster )〕 He served as president of the Marylebone Cricket Club. He was also keen on yachting and horse-racing.
